Fear Doesn’t Disqualify You, Obedience Defines You
Courage isn’t the absence of fear—it’s trusting God enough to move anyway.
Let’s be real: fear shows up for all of us.
Even the boldest leaders feel it. So if fear has been knocking at your door lately, you’re not failing—you’re human. Honestly, if you don’t have a hint of fear, I’d ask if you’re really being boldly brave in your obedience.
Scripture Focus
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9 (NIV)
When God called Joshua to lead an entire nation, He didn’t promise ease. He promised presence.
His command was clear: Be strong. Be courageous. I’m with you.
You don’t overcome fear by pretending it’s not there; you overcome it by walking with God through it.
Fear says:
“What if I fail?”
“What if they don’t listen?”
“What if I’m not enough?”
But faith says:
“Even if it’s hard, God is with me.”
“Even when I’m afraid, I will move forward.”
The enemy loves to use fear to paralyze women with Kingdom purpose. But courage is a spiritual muscle—it grows when you use it. Every small act of obedience builds your boldness.
God never promised you wouldn’t feel fear. He promised you wouldn’t walk alone.
Reflection Question
If this message stirred something in you, take a few moments to slow down and reflect. These questions aren’t about getting the “right” answers—they’re about making space to hear what God might be saying to your heart today.
What fear or insecurity is standing between you and your next step of obedience?
